Coeur d'Alene and Spokane Shenanigans

We've wanted to visit the Coeur d'Alene area of Idaho as a couple almost as long as we've been together. Despite a few good plans, we've never made it, until now.

Lake Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful place. We were able to stroll through the town, walk around the lake a bit and have some great food. Cool artwork adorned the streets. Don't miss the little rider in the moose's antlers.

We also spent a few hours wandering downtown Spokane. It is a fun and beautiful place as well. The river walk has a large amount of park area, and artistic elements abound. What inner child can resist a giant Radio Flyer wagon?

We did get a chance to do a little off-roading as well. We found some trails, avoided some fires and got to look out over the ravine into the Canadian forests, which look amazingly just like the one we were looking from. It is a breathtakingly scenic area that is also a great escape from the summer heat.

Yet another location we have enjoyed. We'll definitely have to make a visit back as there is much more to enjoy.
