Hot Springs ORV Park Review

The day after Thanksgiving we had planned on visiting the local offroad park in Hot Springs, AR. However, on Thanksgiving day it rained all day long. And not just a light sprinkle, but a full on deluge, the type that creates small lakes and rivers along roads. The last time this happened before we went to a park, we ended up flooding our poor Iron Butterfly's interior up past the pedals in mud and water on a trail labeled as easy. With a little trepidation and still with excitement, we loaded up and headed to the park, fully expecting a lot of mud, a bit of wading and possibly being stuck again, at least once.

What we found when we got there though was that the area has a very strong rock base, and we're not talking the Rolling Stones. It turned out to be a beautiful day, in a very large park, where we would barely even touch most of the trails. The trails are very clearly rated and marked which was a nice touch.

The fall colors were beautiful as we navigated around. We weren't expecting to be able to do a fall color drive this year, so it was a pleasant surprise to see so many beautiful colors as we crawled the trails.

We actually didn't take as many pictures as normal. With the changing leaves and abundance of trees, a lot of the trail pictures were turning out looking the same. However, there really is a nice variety of skill challenges that kept us going until dark and left us wanting to come back another time. Hot Springs ORV Park is definitely worth going to for any Jeep, or offroad, enthusiast.
