Visiting Indiana

840,414.

No, it's not the number of children these rather fat dragons have eaten.

It's the official attendance for the Indiana State Fair.

Over 300,000 is the number provided for our home State Fair in Utah. It's a big difference which is really felt even during midweek. This party sprawls like a cat stretched out in sunshine.

We strolled past a couple of barns, animals are a staple for such events, choosing the Belgian horses for our requisite furry visit. A couple of llamas and alpacas snuck in here too!

I have to say, the view from the Ferris Wheel will always my favorite, especially at night.

Aside from being immersed in neon light, interesting food choices (the hot dog burnt ends were...different), and crushing crowds what else is there to do around here?

Well, Dave was the biggest kid at our campgrounds foam party.

There's also the children's museum which isn't just for kids. This interactive delight begins with a dinosaur break in.

I think they wanted to hang out with Bumblebee in the lobby.

While these are less for touching, there are plenty of educational play areas along with other items just for viewing. Personally, I love their train and doll house miniature collections.

There's even a carousel on the top floor, always under a night sky.

This is an amazing place to your child. One day simply isn't enough to see everything it has to offer.
